Restore & Strengthen Your Smile With Crowns

Does your tooth need a little rehab? It’s not uncommon for teeth to become worn, cracked, or misshapen, but a simple crown can make them look and feel new again. At Sage Dental, we’ll expertly cover your existing tooth with a new outer surface that’s strong, cavity resistant, and matches your other teeth.
Crowns are ideal for teeth that:
  • Have been weakened by tooth decay
  • Cannot hold a filling
  • Have undergone a root canal procedure
You don’t have to live compensating for a tooth that’s not quite right. The team at Sage Dental will help restore your best bite, jaw, and smile function.

Why Are Dental Crowns Needed?

Crowns can be beneficial for a variety of reasons. They can be placed over virtually any and every tooth in the mouth. Some of the reasons you’ll need a crown include:

Who is a Good Candidate for Dental Crowns?

With the help of an examination, we can help to determine if you might need a dental crown. Because crowns are custom made for each patient, they look completely natural and realistic. We even offer same-day CEREC crowns, which are permanent crowns that are made for you in the office while you wait. This prevents the need for a second appointment to have the permanent restoration put into place.

What Happens During the Dental Crown Procedure?

We start the process by administering a local anesthetic to numb the area. We then file down the tooth completely to make room for the new crown. For ceramic and porcelain crowns, we’ll take impressions and use these to craft a new crown. For same-day CEREC crowns, a digital impression is taken and put into our CEREC machine to make the crown for you while you wait. The permanent crown is then placed and filed down to improve its fit and feel.
